The Women & Girls Fund was established as a giving circle in 1999 by a small group of women who shared a concern for the real-life needs of local women and girls.
The giving circle has grown over the years, but the Women & Girls Fund has stayed true to its original intent to provide grants to nonprofits for programs that help women and girls develop economic self-sufficiency by means of education, financial literacy and social services. Learn more
A growing trend in philanthropy, giving circles empower you and your friends (two or hundreds) to collaborate to benefit a field-of-interest or a specific cause. Every giving circle is unique, varying in size, structure and focus, but they usually involve a group of like-minded people contributing on a regular basis toward a shared goal.
Giving circles enable donors to pool their resources and maximize the impact of their charitable efforts. Foundation staff can help you organize and manage a giving circle that represents the interests of your unique group.
