Living a Surrendered Life - Wisdom House
Living a Surrendered Life
Friday, July 19, 2019 6:00 PM to Sunday, July 21, 2019 1:00 PM
Drawing on the wisdom of Twelve-Step spirituality and his new book, Surrendered―The Sacred Art: Shattering the Illusion of Control and Falling into Grace with Twelve-Step Spirituality, Rami will examine the difference between surrender as an act of will and being surrendered as a gift of grace, and explore what it is to give up the former and live the latter. This heavily Taoist, Zen, and Hasidic influenced retreat celebrates the sublime joy of wabi-sabi: the beauty and spirituality of imperfection. Our aim is to help you recognize and embrace the truth of Leonard Cohen’s lyric: Ring the bells (ring the bells) that still can ring/Forget your perfect offering / There is a crack in everything (there is a crack in everything) / That's how the light gets in…
Includes all meals.
Registration will close on Friday, July 12th.
