Your Community Foundation believes that the Arts and cultural resources are integral to the quality of life in our region. Arts provide social and educational opportunities. Support for the arts helps artists and cultural organizations thrive, educates, entertains and offers social opportunities to residents and visitors, and develops the culture of our region. It was with this in mind that we partnered with the Chamber of Commerce of Northwest Connecticut to form the Northwest CT Arts Council.
The Council serves as a clearinghouse for all things cultural in NW Connecticut, ensuring that culture thrives on our community. Through the Cultural Events Calendar, the Cultural Directory, the Culture Beat newsletter, the Take Part Culture Card program, advocacy efforts, and more, the Arts Council encourages all to become involved in and enjoy the plethora of cultural offerings in our region.
